MacBook & Mac Repair in Baton Rouge
You do not have to drive to a mall Apple counter or ship your Mac somewhere to have it looked at. We work on MacBooks and iMacs at the counter on Oak Villa Blvd — screens, batteries, keyboards, storage and logic boards.
Call +1 (225) 923-0999Common problems we see
Cracked or dark screen
A broken panel, or a Mac that is clearly on with nothing visible. Both are common and both are repairable.
Battery worn out or swollen
macOS warning you to service the battery, or a trackpad that has started to bulge. A swollen battery should be dealt with promptly rather than lived with.
Keyboard problems
Keys that stick, repeat or do nothing - a well-known weak point on several MacBook generations.
Liquid damage
Assessment as soon as possible. Do not attempt to charge it while wet.
Running out of space or slow
SSD and memory upgrades are possible on many models, though not all - we will tell you which yours is.
Will not boot or stuck
macOS reinstall, drive failure or logic board. The diagnostic separates them.
What we do
MacBook screen replacement
Panel and display assembly work for supported models.
Battery replacement
Including swollen batteries, handled properly.
Keyboard service
Repair or replacement depending on the model and what failed.
SSD and RAM upgrades
On models where Apple has left them serviceable - we check yours before promising anything.
macOS installation and updates
Clean installs, upgrades, and machines that will not finish an update.
Data migration
Everything moved to a new Mac, or off a dead one and onto whatever comes next.
Logic board service
Board-level assessment and repair where the board is what failed.
Water damage assessment
Opened, inspected and reported honestly - including when it is not worth it.
What happens when you walk in
- Bring the machine to the counter — no appointment, no booking form. If it is a desktop, the tower alone is usually enough; leave the monitor, keyboard and mouse at home unless the fault involves them.
- We take down what the machine is doing and what you were doing when it started. Be blunt about it — "it got wet", "my nephew installed something" saves us hours.
- We run diagnostics. The fee is $79.99, and it goes toward the repair if you go ahead with it.
- We call you with what is wrong, what it costs, and how long it will take. Nothing beyond the diagnostic is done without your say-so.
- Most repairs are finished in 1-5 business days. Waiting on an ordered part is the usual reason something takes longer, and we tell you if that is the case.

Warranty
Hardware repairs done here — screens, charge jacks, motherboards and the like — carry a 90-day warranty covering both the replacement part and the labour. New parts bought from us carry a one-year parts warranty. Full terms, including what is not covered, are on our warranty page.
Questions we get asked
Are you an Apple Authorised Service Provider?
No. We are an independent repair shop. That means we can often work on older Macs and out-of-warranty machines that Apple will not touch, but it also means work we do is not Apple-warranty work. If your Mac is still under AppleCare, use that first - it will cost you less.
Can you upgrade the storage in my MacBook?
On some models. Apple soldered storage down on many recent machines, and no shop can upgrade those. Bring it in or call with the model and we will tell you before you make the trip.
How much does MacBook repair cost?
The diagnostic is $79.99 and applies toward the repair. Parts for Macs are typically dearer than the PC equivalent, which we will be clear about when we quote.
How long will it take?
Most repairs are 1-5 business days. Mac-specific parts sometimes take longer to source, and we say so up front.
Do you fix iPhones or iPads?
No. Macs only - MacBooks, iMacs and related computers.
My battery is swollen. Is that urgent?
Treat it as urgent. Stop using the machine, do not leave it charging unattended, and bring it in.
