Desktop Computer Repair in Baton Rouge
Towers fail differently to laptops — power supplies, drives, fans and boards, usually with more warning than people notice at the time. Bring the tower in and we will find which part actually failed instead of replacing the whole machine.

No power at all
Nothing when you press the button, or fans that spin for a second and stop. Often the power supply rather than anything on the board.
Blue screens and random restarts
Usually memory, storage, heat or a driver. All four look the same to you and completely different to a diagnostic.
Grinding, clicking or very slow
A mechanical drive making noise is a drive telling you it is going. Back it up now and bring it in.
Loud fans, hot case
Dust and dead fans cook a tower slowly. It is cheap to fix and expensive to ignore.
No display
Could be the graphics card, the cable, the monitor or the board. Bring the tower; bring the monitor only if you suspect the monitor.
Windows will not start
Repair, reinstall, or a failing drive underneath it. We work out which before touching your files.
What we do
Power supply replacement
Tested under load, not just swapped on a hunch.
Drive replacement and cloning
Failing hard drive swapped for an SSD, with your Windows install and files brought across so it boots like it did before, only faster.
Memory and component testing
Extended testing to find the intermittent faults that a five-minute look never reproduces.
Cooling and dust service
Fans, heatsinks and fresh thermal paste. The single most underrated repair on this list.
Motherboard and power diagnosis
Board-level assessment, and an honest answer about whether it is worth repairing or replacing.
Windows repair and reinstall
Including getting your files and programs back where you expect them.
What happens when you walk in
- Bring the machine to the counter — no appointment, no booking form. If it is a desktop, the tower alone is usually enough; leave the monitor, keyboard and mouse at home unless the fault involves them.
- We take down what the machine is doing and what you were doing when it started. Be blunt about it — "it got wet", "my nephew installed something" saves us hours.
- We run diagnostics. The fee is $79.99, and it goes toward the repair if you go ahead with it.
- We call you with what is wrong, what it costs, and how long it will take. Nothing beyond the diagnostic is done without your say-so.
- Most repairs are finished in 1-5 business days. Waiting on an ordered part is the usual reason something takes longer, and we tell you if that is the case.

Questions we get asked
What does desktop repair cost?
The diagnostic is $79.99 and applies toward the repair. Beyond that it depends entirely on what failed - a power supply and a motherboard are not the same job.
Do I need to bring the monitor, keyboard and mouse?
Usually just the tower and its power cable. Bring the monitor only if the fault involves the display, and the keyboard or mouse only if they are part of the problem.
How long does it take?
Most repairs finish in 1-5 business days. Ordered parts are the usual reason for longer.
Can you make my old computer faster instead of replacing it?
Often, yes. Moving from a mechanical hard drive to an SSD and adding memory transforms machines people had written off. We will tell you if yours is one of them - see our upgrades page.
Do you work on custom-built and gaming PCs?
Yes - we build them too, including open-loop liquid cooling, so we are comfortable inside them.
Do you repair printers, phones or tablets?
No. We work on laptops, desktops and Macs.
