Virus & Malware Removal in Baton Rouge
Pop-ups that will not close, a browser that opens somewhere you did not choose, or a full-screen warning telling you to call a number. Bring the machine in and we will clean it properly — and tell you what it was doing while it was there.

Pop-ups and fake warnings
Especially a full-screen "call this number" alert. That is a scam, not Microsoft. Do not call the number and do not let anyone remote in.
Browser hijacked
Homepage or search engine changed, new toolbars, results redirecting somewhere else.
Suddenly very slow
Mining and adware use your machine’s resources for someone else’s benefit. Slowness is often the first symptom people notice.
Antivirus disabled
Malware that turns off protection so it can stay. If your antivirus will not turn back on, something is holding it off.
Files encrypted or renamed
Ransomware. Bring it in before paying anyone anything.
Accounts behaving oddly
Password resets you did not ask for, or email sent from your account. The clean-up needs to cover your accounts, not just the machine.
What we do
Full infection removal
Not one scan and a shrug - startup entries, scheduled tasks, browser extensions and services all get checked.
Browser clean-up
Hijacks, extensions and search redirects removed and settings put back.
Windows repair after infection
Malware often breaks Windows components on the way out. We put those back rather than leaving you with a half-working machine.
Ransomware assessment
An honest look at what is encrypted and what your realistic options are. Some variants are recoverable and some are not.
Protection set up properly
Antivirus working, updates on, and the gaps that let it in closed.
Telling you what got exposed
If passwords or banking were on that machine, you need to know so you can change them from a clean device.
What happens when you walk in
- Bring the machine to the counter — no appointment, no booking form. If it is a desktop, the tower alone is usually enough; leave the monitor, keyboard and mouse at home unless the fault involves them.
- We take down what the machine is doing and what you were doing when it started. Be blunt about it — "it got wet", "my nephew installed something" saves us hours.
- We run diagnostics. The fee is $79.99, and it goes toward the repair if you go ahead with it.
- We call you with what is wrong, what it costs, and how long it will take. Nothing beyond the diagnostic is done without your say-so.
- Most repairs are finished in 1-5 business days. Waiting on an ordered part is the usual reason something takes longer, and we tell you if that is the case.

Warranty
Software work — infection removal and Windows installations — carries a 7-day warranty. It is short on purpose: a machine that gets re-infected a month later has almost always been re-infected by something new, not by the original problem coming back. Full terms, including what is not covered, are on our warranty page.
Questions we get asked
How much is virus removal?
The diagnostic is $79.99 and applies toward the work. We quote the removal once we have seen what is actually on the machine.
Will I lose my files?
Usually not. Removal is normally done without wiping anything. If an infection has damaged Windows badly enough to need a reinstall we will discuss it with you first, including getting your files off.
I got a pop-up saying to call Microsoft. Is that real?
No. Microsoft does not put a phone number on your screen. Do not call it, and do not let anyone remote into your computer. If you already did, bring the machine in and change your passwords from a different device.
Should I pay a ransomware demand?
Talk to us before you pay anyone anything. Paying does not reliably get your files back and marks you as someone who pays. Bring the machine in and we will tell you what your actual options are.
How long does it take?
Most infection removals fall inside 1-5 business days.
What warranty comes with virus removal?
Software work carries a 7-day warranty. It is deliberately short - a machine that gets infected again weeks later has almost always caught something new rather than the original returning.
